Lilybeth Vargas - Owner and Head Stylist
Known for her unique “Duo” technique of seamlessly blending hair extensions and coloring, Lilybeth Vargas is a colorist and master of hand-tied extensions in NYC. Her expertise comes from years of training with some of the most elite artists in NYC — including one-on-one with celebrity colorist Louis Licari — as well as working in Qatar as a VIP colorist.
It was while working in Licari’s Fifth Avenue salon that she cultivated her keen eye for hair color, opening the doors to opportunities in television and fashion. She assisted on the "Today Show’s 'Ambush Makeover' " segment, had her own segment on Rachel Ray! and collaborated with Soho’s chic Cutler Salon for multiple seasons of New York Fashion Week.
Nikki Bodrato - Colorist Expert
Born and raised in upstate New York, Nikki’s passion for hair was everclear. When it was time to begin her career, she moved to NYC where she would spend the next 7 years crafting her skills as an artist. She learned from and worked alongside Louis Licari and many other talented colorists in his 5th avenue salon. In 2019, Nikki moved her talents to Westchester, NY where she still provides color services. With a passion for the industry and a strive to always improve her skills, Nikki is coming back to her roots in NYC in which she will be providing color services at Dúo.
Jackie Martinez - Hair Extension Maintenance Specialist and Junior Stylist
Born and raised in NYC, Jackie has always had a passion for the beauty industry. With 15 years of experience, working in high end salons all over NYC, she has learned from and worked alongside master stylists. Throughout her career she has assisted on photo shoots, NYC fashion week, and weddings. Jackie loves giving clients tips and tricks to use at home so they always feel confident and beautiful!
Ashley - Hair Apprentice
Ashley is a third generation hair stylist with 7 years of experience. She attended Arrojo Cosmetology School in 2015. Shortly after receiving her license in cosmetology, she began color training with Eva Scrivo salons. Post pandemic shutdown, Ashley began providing services in a private suite. Her specialties include color, silk press straightening, & round brush blow-outs.
Michell - Hair Apprentice
Michell is our newest addition to the Duo family. Once she received her cosmetology license, she was eager to show her dedication and passion to the craft. Her skillset is growing and at her accelerated pace has the ability to become our next in-house Colorist Expert. Michell is fantastic as our in house Apprentice.
